
Women’s participation and inclusion in the workforce were among the four priorities discussed by BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers under India’s 2026 BRICS Chairship. The discussions highlighted the importance of advancing the care economy, promoting equal opportunities, strengthening support for women’s entrepreneurship and return to work, and addressing discrimination and violence in the workplace to build more inclusive and gender-responsive labour markets.
