
Cooperation on employability, skills mapping and skills development was among the four priorities discussed by BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers under India’s 2026 BRICS Chairship. The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening skills ecosystems, improving skills recognition and labour market intelligence, and expanding apprenticeships, work-based learning and lifelong learning to help workers and employers respond to rapidly evolving labour market needs.
