Built upon the objectives of the Priority Action Programmes and in alignment with the Programme and Budget 2024-25 and the Development Cooperation Strategy 2020-25, the Emerging Partners and South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Unit will utilize its expertise to engage with partners from the Global South. This engagement aims to enhance coherence in support and action to facilitate the shift from informal to formal economies, promote just transitions towards environmentally sustainable societies, advance decent work outcomes in supply chains, and advocate for decent work in crisis and post-crisis scenarios. These actions are closely intertwined with the G20 Priorities in 2024, as set forth during the Brazilian Presidency, focusing on social inclusion, poverty alleviation, sustainability, just transition, global governance, and combating inequality.
