From 5-23 August 2019 the International Training Centre (ITC/ILO) is holding the Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA) Summer Programme (GYLA-Summer Programme). The aim of GYLA is to engage young people in learning about the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) and to empower them, as future leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, to play a crucial role in meeting the targets of the 2030 agenda and building a better world.
The GYLA-Summer Programme brings together over 230 college students and tutors from 17 top Chinese universities to discuss ways youth can promote the SDGs. On 21 August, the contribution of South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, especially in the context of future of work, will be the addressed in the panel “South-South Cooperation and Decent Work: Recent developments and future steps”.
