The 2024–2025 collection of ILO South-South and triangular cooperation good practices showcased how more than 80 countries worked together to advance decent work through solidarity-based, adaptable and results-oriented solutions. Across five regions and several global platforms, countries exchanged practical knowledge on care economy policies, child labour elimination, climate-resilient job creation, just transition strategies, social protection, skills development, labour statistics, and productivity-led growth. From SIDS-SIDS cooperation and Arab States’ just transition networks to Africa’s triangular partnerships, Asia–Arab States employment dialogues, LAC’s leadership on care and child labour, and Europe and Central Asia’s green employment initiatives, these experiences demonstrated how peer learning, co-creation and horizontal collaboration strengthened national policies and regional ecosystems. Together with global BRICS initiatives, the Future Leaders for the World of Work programme and ITC-Turin’s cross-regional platforms, the good practices illustrated how the ILO deepened South-South cooperation as a driver of evidence-based policymaking, inclusive development and shared progress toward the 2030 Agenda.
