On June 06, 2023 was the opening session of the online clinics “Financing decent work clinics in Asia: a South-South approach” which is taking place from 5 to 30 June 2023. During this session, Anastasiia Pavlova and Duncan Chando, experts from the Emerging and Special Partnerships Unit of the International Labour Organization (ILO), made an extensive presentation on the link between South-South cooperation and Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs).
This event, organized by the ILO and the International Training Centre of the ILO, aims to empower ILO constituents and partners with the necessary skills to direct finances toward the promotion of decent work effectively. This entails actively developing INFFs and comprehending the roles of various institutions within the financing for development landscape.
In addition, these clinics will adopt a collaborative South-South learning approach, allowing participants to share knowledge, learn from one another, and collectively explore solutions. Participants can showcase successful policies and best practices from their respective countries, specifically financing decent work and INFF. Through this knowledge sharing, a network of practitioners dedicated to advancing these goals will be created.
