Brazil and the International Labour Organization (ILO) share a long-standing partnership grounded in social justice, decent work and South-South and triangular cooperation. As one of the ILO’s leading development partners, Brazil has mobilized expertise, resources and innovative public policies to support labour market transformation across the Global South. This factsheet highlights Brazil’s contributions to advancing fundamental principles and rights at work, strengthening care systems, combating child and forced labour, promoting productivity with social justice, and fostering international cooperation through initiatives spanning Latin America, Africa and beyond. Drawing on decades of collaboration, the Brazil–ILO partnership continues to demonstrate how peer learning, solidarity and policy exchange can drive inclusive and sustainable development.
