G20 Technical meeting on trilateral cooperation, 7 October

Trilateral cooperation has the potential to foster more inclusive, horizontal, and forward thinking partnerships. A central aspect of this cooperation is mutual learning, where all parties contribute and benefit equally. The emphasis is placed on exchanging experiences and insights among partners, rather than on individual gains.

The purpose of this technical meeting is to advance the G20 knowledge-sharing mechanism on trilateral cooperation (G20 Trilateral Cooperation Co-Lab), which is designed for voluntary participation. Participants will also review key findings from the G20 survey and interviews on trilateral cooperation and work together to shape the next steps and activities for the mechanism.

The International Labour Organization, represented by Ms. Amorim, Head of Emerging and Special Partnerships, promotes collaboration between countries aiming at implementing inclusive and distributive development models that are driven by demand. She will share ILO’s experience on the systems track and highlight some cases of the ILO on South – South and triangular cooperation & some results of the G20 development working group trilateral cooperation track.
