The ILO’s Programme and Budget (P&B) Proposal for the Biennium 2018-19 stipulated the integration of South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) results as part of ILO’s efforts to promote decent work opportunities for all. With the end of the biennium approaching, the Department of Partnerships and Field Support (PARDEV) presents the SSTC results achieved around the world
In the ILO’s P&B 2018-19, SSTC was underscored as an effective tool to increase development cooperation and to enforce and expand external partnerships and strategic partnerships for the ILO’s development cooperation. As a result, in June 2018 the International Labour Conference (ILC) adopted a Roadmap for development cooperation, in which SSTC is one of the pillars.
During the biennium, a total of 1,785.841 US$ regular budget has been allocated to South-South and Triangular Cooperation activities which covered all the five ILO regions with regional and global impacts. In total, 44 initiatives were supported in the biennia addressing all the 10 Policy Outcomes and the Enabling Outcome A.
