The International Labour Organization (ILO) has published a new compendium titled “Good Practices from Participants of the Employment-Intensive Investment Programmes (EIIP) through South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC)”, presenting successful initiatives from across the Global South that demonstrate how employment-intensive approaches can drive inclusive development and resilience in times of crisis.
The publication brings together real-world practices from countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Jordan, Lebanon, and beyond—highlighting how peer learning, local ownership, and regional cooperation have enabled governments and communities to create jobs, support displaced populations, build infrastructure, and promote green and inclusive recovery.
Supported by the ILO’s PARTNERSHIPS Department, and developed through the framework of SSTC, these initiatives reflect the potential of countries to co-create context-specific solutions while exchanging technical knowledge and replicable models under the umbrella of the Employment-Intensive Investment Programme (EIIP).
